Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 19, 2026

This policy applies to both RobotKloud and RobotKloud Reader (“the apps,” “we,” “us”). Both are document-reading and note-taking apps designed to be safe for children and students, and both were built to work entirely on your device. This policy explains, in plain language, what that means for your privacy.

The short version

The apps do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. The apps have no servers of their own, and nothing you do in them is sent to us or to any third party.

Information we collect

None. The apps do not ask for your name, email, phone number, location, or any other personal information, and they do not create a user profile. We do not use advertising identifiers or analytics tools of any kind.

Your documents and notes stay on your device

The documents you open (PDF and .rbtk files), the notes and highlights you add, and the RobotKloud files you save are stored locally on your device. If you choose to save or export a file to the Files app or iCloud Drive, that copy is handled by Apple under your own iCloud account and settings — not by us. We never see, upload, or have access to your files.

Text-to-speech

When an app reads a note aloud, it uses the text-to-speech engine built into your Apple device. The processing happens on the device using Apple’s system voices. The apps do not send the text of your notes to us or to any outside service.

Children’s privacy

The apps are suitable for children. Because they collect no personal information from anyone, they collect no personal information from children. We comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws, including the GDPR provisions for children, by design: there is simply no data collection to consent to.

Third parties

The apps contain no third-party advertising, no third-party analytics, and no social-media or tracking SDKs. We do not share information with anyone because we do not collect any.

Permissions

The apps do not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or location. When you open or save a document, iOS presents its own standard Files/iCloud picker; your selection stays within Apple’s system.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the revised version at this address. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
